Quaddess? Hehe, I wish. It’s named for the likes of Anna Meares, Marianne Vos, Katie Compton, Lael Wilcox and Giorgia Bronzini – strong women with strong legs. And of course our favourite quad gods – Robbie McEwen, Cadel Evans, Sven Nys and Fabian Cancellara.
Me? Just rollin’ round Melbourne and beyond – a bit of road, a bit of gravel, cyclocross for laughs in winter and hills in summer. The discovery though is that I’m a remote/light tourer at heart. After years in communications, this is a place for photos and words that hopefully show others what’s there and help with their planning.
A few people have asked about the header photos here. The home page shot is from the Dempster Highway in northern Canada, approaching the Arctic Circle marker across the tundra – one of my best days on the bike ever. Others are from the Northwest Territories in Canada (above), local cx racing (cx diary page), the rabbit proof fence and Antony Gormley’s outback art (blog and Nullarbor pages). It’s a great way to travel.
